Now then ,ive told you this one before
but, respectfully, most of you would never have enjoyed this
    what we did
now back in the OLD days we could not play football
    on a sunday,
so we at Birdwell, and lads from Wuzzbra
and around used to go to Rockley Dam,
    yes ROCKLEY DAM
there was enough room near enough for a full size pitch
and we used to play a BOB a man
you had to hand over your shilling if you were picked
two players use ,pick a player in turn
remeber i was only a 14 year old lad
and i got picked more than once
remember ,there were one or two football league players playing for an extra BOB

and we used to play or socks off to WIN
do you see owt like that now days
Memories i tell you ive lots of them

when i was a lines man at a ladies match
between Birdwell ladies and ward gren Ladies at wuzbra common
the REF was the Great Late Johnny Kellly

i think this is too much for on a Monday Morning
    thanks for looking

Bob. You ought to get in touch with a publisher ( Wharncliffe publishing ? ) and write a book.
