This has probably already been said, but I think the best thing Hill and Flicker should do for the team is to get one or 2 experienced players in. Someone who will have on-field leadership. If we could get someone like West Ham's Kevin Nolan or Ipswich's Keith Andrews. Blackpool have Kevin Phillips and Barry Ferguson. OK we have Michael Tonge, but he is just on loan, unfit and has only played a handful of games in the past 2 seasons.
I think next on Hill's shopping list is to get himself a captain. Someone who will take one for the team and lead them in the same vein as Redfearn, Howard and McCarthy did when they were here. It will cost a little money, but to get this player would galvanise the team and it would be money well spent. I think we do have a few gifted young players out there, we just need that captain to put some fire in their bellies and inspire them.

Keith Hill, captains ARE important! Leadership is key in football, especially in this damned League where you have to keep heads above water, but below clouds. It's no good having a team full of captains, just watch a Sunday League team. Headless chickens spring to mind.

One captain. Inspiration, example, give the team it's image, the difference between disarray and stability.

    Keep the faith. You Reds!!!

Didn't he sign Rob Edwards for that purpose? Yet, he's hardly played...
