Why whenever someone comes on here to slate the manager and demand change do they get slated by the ones who don't agree?. Are the anti flitcroft brigade not entitled to their opinion? Are these people less of a fan/supporter because they have the audacity to want ,what they feel is best for their club? This is a serious question as i really can't understand some of the stick people get for stating the obvious or maybe it's just not that obvious to some people, I don't know. For the record I wanted flitcroft to go 6/7 games ago before it was too late 2 wins in 15 games is indefensible whichever way I look at it. The trouble is I now think it is too late and might aswell stick with him because in my opinion, only my opinion I might add whoever we bring in as got to work with the squad he has assembled, who are sadly lacking in a lot of departments. My 12 year old son refused to go today for the first time since he started coming with me at 7 year old and quite frankly I don't blame him , even if we stay up I ( very unlikely ) after 31 years of watching the reds, next season I won't be renewing my season ticket. That's another two supporters lost on top of the other 8000 we've supposedly lost. I used to get excited about watching us week in week out but I'm afraid the entertainment value has gone, and to be fair to current management staff, it's been going for a few years so their not entirely to blame. It's a sad sad day for me today because I've finally realised there are better things to spend my hard earned on and up until now those thoughts would never have crossed my mind. Apologies for going off subject a bit but just wanted to share my feelings and wondered if any body felt the same.

So what if your 12 year old didn't want to go, I did go and we played some good stuff. Created a lot of chances and should have won. Frustrated not to see the club i go to watch win but things are getting better.

Because that's how the internet works.

    Yes.

Probably, depends if they have a Colchester stub or not.

Wow, sounds like a good game. You were lucky, wish I'd gone to that game - I went to see Barnsley play Donny instead and it was shocking.

    oh!....hang on...

Come on it was a terrible performance against a crap team. I go home and away not missed a match in 5 years but is a low ebb for me.

Go away it was shocking. We played well. I was talking to people at half time and people were pleased with the reds. second half we came out, it was a little harder but we still had three chances to score. passed the ball and did what we had to for most of it.

I bet the playing management, players and board level people are thinking what am i doing here with these Muppet's.

looking forward to watching it again on player and just checking that i was right in what i watched at Oakwell which im sure i will be.

We must have completely different expectations as to what "well" means then. If you thought that was acceptable today and that we played well, all I can say is that I hope that the next game you think we played badly is one that I missed.

I've seen spells from the reds play poorly this season but today wasn't one and to be honest we've played well a lot.

Last away game i went to was Leicester and there was a period at the start of the second half when we played poorly.
There was a lot of good things today. First half was very good. I can't remember the last time i saw a team dominate like that for quite a while. If we went in 3-0 then it wouldn't have flattered Barnsley.

Wouldn't say we were awful. Wouldn't say we played well either. We were average, they were poor at best. The fact that we couldn't beat them speaks volumes for me. Yes, I know, we could have had four or five. They could have had a couple. But games aren't decided by what could have happened, they're decided by what did happen and what happened was that we failed to score against a side who had no ambition try and win the game for most of the 90 minutes.

Based on that and the Wednesday match it could be a South Yorkshire triple relegation because it's difficult to see any of us picking up 50+ points.

Phil you really must be on a wind up because that was pretty crap yesterday. OK we weren't abject but we couldn't beat a very poor side and that is not a good sign. So we need to accept we can beat the top sides and so far we've managed one win in four against the bottom teams. Great stuff, just what we need to guarantee relegation because that is what we're heading for now.

The fact that you, and others, have posted your opinions on the matter show you're entitled to express them. However, those whose views don't match yours are also entitled to air theirs. There seems, at times, to be a confusion between freedom of speech and an avoidance of criticism of a personally held belief.
You feel the manager ought to be sacked, I don't. I get criticised by others for holding my views, you will, too. If they're your views, then post them. But you have to accept others who may hold a differing opinion are just as entitled to express theirs and are just as open to criticism & debate.

    You are right about opinions

we've all got them and it would be a strange thing if we all had the same ones.

Personally I think we should stick with Flitcroft; and the squad isn't far from being decent. We just need to rediscover the fire and passion from the 2nd half of last season and we'll be ok.

Also I think its worth going just to see Paddy skipping past defenders. Shame he didn't beat the 'keeper in the first half, otherwise we'd all by happy now.

As for the style of play, its still better than towards the end Of Mel Machin's time.....

I've also been watching The Reds a long time (my dad took me back in the 60s) but as I live away from South Yorkshire I don't go as often as I'd like.

To be honest Glynn, old mate, I honestly don't know. A couple of wins could lift the mood of everyone, especially if they're accompanied by excellent performances. However, I believe (especially after all the defeats suffered earlier in the season) one more heavy defeat, along the lines of Wigan, Blackburn & Watford, will see him removed.
