The elbow for which he received a caution was the fifth elbowing that he perpetrated that I saw. I'm sure if the video of the game is watched carefully there will be others that I didn't see because even though we have a very good view from the front row of the East Upper there will be stuff going on that we don't pick up. What really condemns him is that, while pleading innocence while receiving his caution, he was clearly claiming that his flailing elbow was part of the way he jumped yet from that point on there was no flailing elbow because he knew he would go if he was seen again. This would suggest that the previous incidents were premeditated attempts to cause injury as he found it possible to jump safely for the rest of the game following the yellow card. I have always respected what Morgan did for Barnsley even leaving (after 3 months unpaid) was apparently done reluctantly as a way of keeping us financially afloat. I have often used him as an example of a hard but fair centre half who takes the knocks and gives them in equal measure. I now realise that in this I was wrong. If there was any decency in him he would voluntarily suspend himself until Hume is playing again.
