I think most of us are realistic about our promotion chances now. The gap to 6th isn't the problem. You can make that ground up in no time with a good run. It's the fact that we're heading int he wrong direction and playing as poorly as we are. I can only see the gap getting bigger.
8 wins, 5 draws, 2 defeats. Not shabby at all, but not an amazing run. I don’t think the current team is capable of such a run, sadly.
Difference is we had a squad who'd run through brick walls for Barnsley in 2006, asa lot of them were local lads. 2016 we were on a meteoric rise and gaining momentum. 2019 we never lost at home and played brilliant football with a brilliant system. This year we're in the middle of a managed decline. It'll take an absolute miracle if we're playing Championship football come August.
