I can't open the link, but I have heard about this before. College went to pot when David Eade was in charge.

Is this some kind of personal vendetta against him for challenging Paula Whittle in a meeting or something or other?

Seems odd. Good luck to Bob. Barnsley College used to be great it seems they are now running the A level side of things into the ground which is a shame.

Took a complete novice in computing (me) through his HNC. I was 40 at the time and never touched a computer before.

Always approachable, even with the daft things I used to ask.

Taught me as well (so he's obviously not that good then)

And I can vouch for the fact that he is a true Barnsley fan that goes both home and away (or at least used to) as well as a great lecturer. I think he used to use this site as well actually.

Would love to sign the petition but does it not depend on exactly what the original member of staff did that Bob chose not to sack them for. ie was it something that they really should have walked for and Bob knew that they should? Or was it something where the person may or may not have been sacked depending on circumstances. Any more information about the original point?

Too true. I think his personality is what makes him so good. You relax with him and don't feel like the job is a chore for him, he wants to help you and it makes a difference.

Whilst I would love to know what he was meant to have sacked the person for, I can personally vouch for Bob as a good man, he surely doesn't deserve this. I don't even know him through the college.
