A few essentials that Danny has to change.

Basically the basics of the game

1. Defending
In all aspects of the game. We haven't defending well since Robins was in charge. We look disorganised at the back, there needs to be an understanding between those at the back and tight defending set pieces is a must. Like day one defending school, men on the posts during corners.

2. Set pieces.

I can count on one hand the number of times we have had success in the past 2 season. Under the last regime (hill and flicker being the same) we get a free kick in the oppositions half and play it short, end up losing it etc etc. As for corners. Well theyve been a disadvantage. A chance for the opposition to break.

3. Attacker in attacking positions.

Not out wide. How many times do we get the ball wide and there's no one in the box. They all follow the ball like kids. Also following a shot it. Missed a lot of them on Saturday. Wingers have to get to the bi line and wip the ball back with midfielders running in. Not the useless Kennedy looping cross.

4. A strong captain

I like cranie but he's no leader. Dawson is the best candidate but he's probably not good enough. Hill and flicker didn't see the importance of a captain. Well that's simply rubbish. We need a Redfearn type, a respected player and organiser.

There's probably lots more. To put it simply flicker and hill over complicated things. Trying to be Barcelona with lower English league players. Any good team does the basics right.

I'm sure Danny will do a good job. Might take a while and we may have to go down.

 

agree , be nice to see us score from a corner , and attack with more purpose too . watching us saturday , and at burnley we needed a change of tactics
