That we are using but what if we had tied all our players down to 2-3 year contracts, would they then be complaining that we are stuck with dross and can't afford to bring anyone else in until we move some players on?
Its a double edged sword that's for sure. I'm OK with the system provided it isn't used as the primary source for players and we don't rely on it.
I was going to say the same, unfortunately I think we do rely on it mario, I'm with you mate I'd prefer not to but we just don't have the financial clout and I think going out and signing players permanently is too much of a risk at the mo.
well we say we rely on it. from what i've seen recently, most of the loan signings we bring in are $hit for us. so not sure how much we really do need it. we certainly don't seem to benefit from it a great deal..
Another way of looking at it is that smaller clubs get the use of players they wouldn't be able to afford otherwise. Personally I love the fact that ive been able to see players like Jan Molby and Devante Cole in a red shirt. Nothing wrong with hiring cars u can't afford to buy. So why not footballers as well?
I tend to agree at the minute and didn't we get assurances that this would change. When used properly the system can be an advantage for clubs like us.
To be fair most clubs outside the premiership and the money clubs of the championship are reliant on the loan system. If it keeps a talented youngster out I'd rather not if it's to improve a position we gave no quality at then it's sensible.
