I thought Barnsley played well yesterday.

Steele. Not sure he should have got the MOTD but he played well and made a very good 2/3 shots in quick time. Not sure what he was doing for their goal though. He seemed to try and catch it around is waist when maybe he should have punched it before it got to the leeds striker.

I thought Hassell played well, very composed on the ball and defended well and got forward when possible.

Foster. I'm a big fan of the former crewe and burnley defender. He's still a very good defender and when compared to celtics O'Dea he looked to be in another league.

Mcnulty, he played well yesterday although he's at times a little too commutable on the ball.

JayMac. Just another Jay Mcevley performance really. Won is headers, won is tackles attacked well. Quite simply just another day on the pitch for the former Blackburn defender.

Addison, well this is what Miles does, This is what i said he would do on here and it was quite pleasing to see the former England u21 do is stuff. Anyone that knows anything about the game of football would understand what Miles does. Unfortunately a lot on here don't.

Perkins, he played well did the little blonde terrier. Broke up play and seems to have the ability to get in front of attackers without fouling them.

Vazte, Well what more can you say. Just Brilliant. The best former Bolton player in south Yorkshire for you. Take Note Pikeys.

Done, played well did the former Hereford player. Not sure what to say about him tbh. Could have scored but he decided to take a touch and it ran away.

Wiseman. played well and covered Hassell well. attacked there full back well. very quick lad.

Davies. Got told by a leeds fan that hes a real handful and the only striker to beat there central defenders with ease (Headers). Could have had a hatrick but what a goal that was.

    post a bit more soon.

I like how you're now back to saying Addison is amazing and you were right all along despite recognising a few weeks ago that he had in fact been crap.

Also laughing my socks off at the Jay Mac description

This may sound as if I am having a go at you but I am not. Why have you put their former teams in? Also why do you feel the need to try and show you are the only one that knows anything ie Addison and McEveley?
It is a strange thing to do when talking about Barnsley players that you are putting their former teams in as well?

As I said not having a go just wondering why?

    Good points well made otherwise.

Addison played his best game by far for us yesterday but why couldn't he do that more often. And what's with all the references to former clubs.

PS. Saying other forum users are knobs for having a different opinion on Addison is only going to lead to one thing. Happy New Year Phil.

I'm talking about Addison specifically and his performance yesterday. While Vaz Te and Davies played very well they have been playing well fairly consistently whereas Addison was immense yesterday and gave a performance like we haven't had from him previously. Not at Oakwell anyway.

This is why I read anything with Hemsworth's name on it. Comedy gold. Always makes me smile.
Very similar thread to mine - giving ratings out. But where I just summarised their performances, Phil tells us where they used to play, and, how he was right, and others on ere were wrong. Educative thread. Thanks Phil. I know how to improve my next attempt. Much love, and happy new year to you.

Why can you not make a post without sounding agressive like the opinions of other people don't matter? Addison played well but he's hardly played all season so he's very fresh playing against tired legs.

H/T you do Hassell a diservice there..

Not sure if its deliberate or not as I know you are the only one on here that has actually agreed in the past with Tyrone1 re Hassell. When you mentioned about what he did yesterday you didn't say anything about the goal that Hassell set-up from his surging run? A little strange really given that you're supposed to be highlighting the positives. Also, when you mentioned Wiseman covered for Hassell, do you mean because of him being caught out of position for example, because that didn't happen. Hassell showed yesterday, and for the vast majority of games he's played in that he is by far the best right back at the club.

Re: H/T you do Hassell a diservice there..

With Wiseman i mean hard work (same as o'brien does). Making sure the full backs got a shield ect.
I don't post to please anyone, i post as i see it. 99% of poster on here have an a gender.
As i posted or did i, anyway. Leeds fans spoke about Hassell on way back. Said he was brilliant along with davies. I was meant to meet a leeds fan after the game, he didn't turn up. Anyway i spent 45 mins on bus talking to a couple of leeds fans. I've met them before and we speak the odd time about football.

    Still kinking at that one.
H/T the gist of my post was, you seem to praise Hassell but fail to mention a key positive contribution re the goal. Also, Wiseman covering for him, I wondered if it was a thinly veiled criticism (undeserved) of him given your past agreement with a certain poster on here who constantly tries to his decry his footballing ability.
    Thats all

Actually, what you say is as YOU SEE IT, not necessarily as it is ! Same as everyone else mate. Opinions are for everyone, but on some they are wasted.
