The Dickie Bird thing at half time was great. Dont understand those that knock him, he went to school with my late grandad and I have spent time with him a fair bit in the past, and a nicer bloke you would struggle to find. Humble, and unlike Parky and Gough, he is a proud Barnsley man. And nuff respect to the dirty fans for the reception they gave him. . Dave 'Flicker' Flitcroft. What a guy he is. Absolutely loved it watching him yesterday. I was watching the game obviously, but had to keep checking the dugout because he was as entertaining as Vaz Te! I loved the encouragement he kept giving the lads, and more impressive was the bollocking he would give anybody despite being 3 and 4 goals up! Never satisfied. And if anybody doubts he is as key as the gaffer, I suggest otherwise. I reckon the players love him too. . Ricardo running straight for the match-ball made me smile, and as he got grief from the dirty fans, he just showed em the ball and jogged down the tunnel. Bet they wished they had got him. And Davies. And Perkins. And McNulty. And so on and so on... . And not forgetting Simon Grayson! Surely that guy has earnt legend status among the tarn faithful. Dont sack him please Master Bates . Oh, and again, proof if it were needed that these lads of ours thrive when playing to a vocally supportive crowd. KEEP BEHIND EM! It does make a difference
I have to agree with all those points and will add a couple more. Addison certainly saved his best for last. I've changed my mind about him and hope we do see him again. How good was it to see normal service resumed at right back. Bobby was excellent yesterday, as usual.
