They're playing this Fridays 'burn down the disco' @ Lucorum. £2.50 entry and £2.50 a drink at the bar in the courtyard/venue.

Heard plenty are turning up for the Book Club - should be a good night.

Have a word with the Backhanded Compliments - they'd fetch a few in.

Fair enough - thought they'd be up for it. Just done a load of new stuff so thought they'd be gigging.

Looking forward to it, a load I know are coming through from Sheffield so there'll definately be a few in.

At the risk of being labelled a lovely person again

if you gave that a miss you could afford tickets for the next match and maybe the one after

    Just a thought

    RE: Consider yourself...

What's the problem? You get to go to the match and the club doesn't lose out on money by having to offer £5 tickets

    Everyone's a winner

    I think the point is...

...the club doesn't lose out by offering £5 tickets once or twice a season. Quite the opposite.

    It is...

    ...and personal situations.

No-one has to justify themselves to anyone, especially on a message board.

But I'll be at Burnley, seeing as it's a 5er cheaper like. I've saved one pound a day so I can even get the bus there and back.

See - it can be done

Of course they don't have to justify their situation but when you start gobbing off at people just because their opinion differs from yours they're bound to question the basis for what you are saying.

I said yesterday that I don't think £20 once a fortnight is a lot of money and it's a question of how you spend your money - which is entirely up to the individual. However, if someone would rather spend their disposable income on other things they can't turn around and say "tickets should be £5" or "the club should do more to get me through the doors"

    My opinion

I'm not angry about anything - I'm just expressing an opinion on Barnsley Football Club as is my wont

It's someone else calling people cnuts just because they have a differing opinion

Same as calling them feckless and unloyal I suppose. But lets ignore that, eh?

I wasn't referring to people who go to 15,16,17 or 18 games a season - I was thinking of people who only go when we are playing the Sheffield clubs or Chelsea.

Why offer them a £5 ticket to come to see Swansea when they have no intention of paying £20 to see Watford, Reading or Plymouth??

I never said tickets should be £5.

I never said the club should do more to get me/other fans through the gates. I don't think anyone has said anything other than the price of games is reasonable have they?

The marketing of games and the club in general needs to be looked at and if they decide this includes having more of these than I'm all for it, as I suspect the majority of fans will be.

If you have a look at the thread I challenged your post only to then read something where you were calling the fans who go to the special offer games and not the full price one after 'unloyal' and 'feckless'. That's why I called you a lovely person because, in my humble opinion, you were acting like one coming out with
statements like that. I stand by that.

All I said was the club isn't losing out by offering these tickets once or twice a year. In fact I think they benefit from 'em. Even if it is just one game they come to. I don't think

    That was painful.
