Bree can be a great player, but it is a bit worrying that he is quite injury prone. While I'd rather see Williams play, I hope this injury is not serious Thought the ref tonight was excellent. Makes a change to usual! All big decisions correct and a great advantage when Sam went through and hit the post Aidy White has been a great player for us, but since coming back from injury he's not been as good, and was potentially at fault for the goal today for not getting out to block the cross. Also happened for both of Oxford's goals. I don't think he's fully fit so personally I'd like to see Smith come in or if Bree is fit Williams out to left back Anyway a great win tonight! Results all that matter at this stage of the season and we got a deserved win! Right back in the race!!
Wiliiams is unlucky to be dropped. But it makes perfect sense with two full backs returning from injury needing game time and him being more than able either side. Bree has tons of potential, but for me, he's still half a season off being ready. Agree about the ref, half decent for once and handled the punch up sensibly. I'm enjoying being back at football.
Would you have thought the same if one of there players shoved one of ours over like sam did and only got a yellow. Dont know if there player made a meal of it but i was expecting sam to get red
I watched their break for their goal and it was Adam Hammill that didn't track their full back so Aidy White had to leave his man and close down their full back. Not whites fault today pal Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
cant believe no ones mentioned how poor brownhills been in the last few games. Josh must wonder what hes got to do to get in.
Whilst we didn't play as well as we can, I'm pretty sure we missed 6 or 7 clear chances that I'd have expected us to do better with. It was a deserved win.
Disagree but even if we didn't deserve to win tonight we certainly did Saturday so swings and roundabouts
To suggest we deserved a win also means that they must have deserved to lose and I don't think they did. I also think they had the best 2 players on show tonight in Main and Kelly.
No I agree Hammill should have done better but in general White hasn't been at the races lately. Either way it was poor defending on our left hand side for their goal
Oldham played well at the same time we hit the post twice and Sam missed from 1 yard out. Harsh to say it wasn't deserved. Agree about Main and Kelly.
Don't disagree that Main and Kelly were good, but the other 9 were shocking. I honestly thought we deserved to win. Not the best we've played by a long chalk but had we taken our chances we'd have got half a dozen. Winall missed 4 guilt edge chances; header in first half, 1st half where he hit the post, 2nd half where he scuffs the volley and the keeper deflects it onto the post and the fresh air shot from about 2 yards in front of an open goal. I'd back him to score 3 of those 8 times out of 10. Mawson missed a couple I'd expect him to score....I'm sure there were more. That would have been harsh on Oldham
Well what exactly does he offer? Going back to the Southend game, it was as poor an individual performance as my memory can remember. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
on the subject of what we deserved or think we deserved, how many times have we been unlucky over the years against oldham. i will take this result tonight and i wont worry too much as to how unlucky oldham were, and if they end up going down either!!
Brownhills a slightly poorer version of scowen for me. its all about opinions of course and whilst i believe hes decent, he was below par last night and for last few games, southend, scunny, chesterfield, oxford and last night. id defo have scowen in setdy.
