    POSITIVES:
    .
That first half was as good as anything I have seen for some time. Best of the season without doubt, considering the cobbling together of the team, and the lack of four of this years standout performers. And, we were up against the most solid of defences, a team bang in form. We blew the ******* away...
    .
    The two loanee midfielders.
It couldnt have gone any better for them in that first half. I lost count of the amount of times I said "WOW!" in reference to young Korey Smith. He did zero wrong in that opening period. He was everything that Drinkwater was for us - and more IMO.
Michael Tonge slotted in like he'd been here for years. And while I expected the time, and composure he had on the ball, having heard from the blunts, I was surprised at how determined and up for it he was. He clearly wanted to win us over. He succeeded. (didnt he Tyrone?)
    .
    Set pieces.
Top drawer corner taking at its best. Tongey put more proper corners over in that half, than any of our players all season. For once, we looked a threat at set pieces. When Tonge went off, the corners from Done didnt beat the first man. Thats not a slight on Matty either.
    .
Matty Done - had one of his unplayable games. Worked the full back inside and out, and his sheer pace created space and alsorts of problems for their back four.
The lad even tracked back all night, helping McNulty, and rarely gave the ball away. My MOM. Just needs to be more consistent, as his good games have often been followed by two or three non-appearances.
    .
We had an actual left back. A confident, composed, quality both going forward and backwards, a proper left back. I prefer Jimmy there, but Keith wants him at center half. I just hope he partners him with Hassell or Edwards.
    .
Craig Davies again played wide, where he is wasted IMO. But he worked tirelessly for the team, and he was as good as anybody in that first half. I would like him up top centrally instead of Gray once Jimbo returns. We need our goalscorer in and around the box, not towing his bag off ahead of Wiseman (who again impressed, but still worries me in defence)
    .
    NEGATIVES:
    .
Stephen Foster's form since xmas, has been on a downward spiral. His lack of awareness, and poor communication with Steele are worries. Id like to rest him, and pair McNulty with Hassell or Edwards. I have to admit though, that Steele's own form has dipped in that period too. I suppose its a consequence of shipping goals, losing games, losing confidence.
Hillcroft havent strengthened these areas, so must feel they have the answer within.
    That will do for me.
    .
I think Nathan Doyle proved he's at best, 4th choice in central midfield. I think he's useful, but I expect a loan move out once Dawson is fit. Still, it was nice to see him.
    .
And finally, the crowd/atmosphere. Appalling. Fickle. Fed up of it tbh.
Even at 3-0 and 3-1, the moans and groans out-did any short blasts of chanting.
This team deserves so much more.
    Get behind em.

    HRAWA!

    Ah.

    Negatives:

    Foster.
    Mmm.
I thought one of the best signings yesterday was Reading bringing in Connolly from QPR.
Exactly what we need in central defence.

    Positives:

    Electrons
    Freddie Mercury

    Re: Ah.

    Good ol Fred.
And yes, the Connolly transfer stood out for me too. As did their other business - Roberts.
Shame we havent just been heavily invested in like they have.
    And another negative:
Negative energy. ****-loads in and around the Ponty

    Aren't electrons negatively charged?

Or am I just being thick again and not understanding a joke that's blatantly obvious to everyone else?
    I've a feeling it'll be the second.

    Yes they are.

    You passed the test.
That's why things don't pass through each other, or summat.

"see them snooker balls, they don't actually hit each other yer know".
    Bloody Physics teachers.

That would also explain why my robots don't work.

I think your robot design is quite impressive
