Luke wilkshire - Hasn't returned to pre season with Bristol City ans is looking for a new club. Though having just played in the World Cup he may be looking for a more high profile move. Eugen Bopp - Released by Forest and is currently on trial with Ipswich. A good attacking midfielder who is also versatile. Was popular with the Forest fans despite never really getting a fair chance in the team. Danny Dichio - Preston are willing to let him leave. A strong experienced target man who is proven at Championship level. Would perhaps be an ideal player alongside Nardi. Marian Pahars - Maybe an unrealistic target but has just been released by Southampton and is looking to get his career back on track. Has undoubted talent but his fitness is always a worry.
RE: Refresh my memory - what did he say??? Referred to us as a small club - something on the lines of didn't want to consider playing at small dingey grounds on a wet Tuesday night - like Grimsby & Barnsley. Was a long time ago but I thought he was arrogant.
RE: Refresh my memory - what did he say??? Wasn't it after getting relegated from the Prem with QPR? Said something on the lines that he didn't fancy visiting backwaters like Barnsley (or words to that effect)
RE: Refresh my memory - what did he say??? When he was at QPR years ago he said after they were relegated that he didnt fancy going to places like Barnsley the following season.
RE: Refresh my memory - what did he say??? Is anyone really that bothered about what Dichio said 10 years ago? Baring in mind the improvments in the stadium, facilities & stature of the club I don't think it's really relevent what he said in 96.
Good shout on Bopp All the Forest fans I know were gutted at his release. I don't really know enough about him as a player but I must admit to be curious given all the rave reviews I heard about him from those fans.
RE: Good shout on Bopp I've got a couple of mates who are Forest fans and they've always been very positive about Bopp and it frustrated the hell out of them how he wasn't being given a fair run in the team. The problem he had at Forest was that Megson played a horrible long ball game which left no room for technical flair players.
