    No chance of Adranik signing

He refused to come off the bench with ten minutes to go against Plymouth, so Davey won't be going back there again - even though he thought Adranik was the most talented midfielder at the club, the fans just never saw it!

    Gray - well reported
    Hammill - very likely

Any fecker could guess those two.

Teymourian? 700k I suppose its plausible but I think its a bit steep and I was not convinced by him.

Parry? well he's on the move so again its plausible.

Three of those happen and I'd be optimistic for the season if we find a centrehalf

Davey say's he's going to play a 4-4-2 next season. Anderson and Colace are both better than Andranik, not sure on that one and i doubt he'd be happy for a place on the bench. That would push Butterfield back down the pecking order so again not sure on that. All the others would be fantastic additions though. Always liked Parry so that's a yes from me.

I'm not shooting the messenger here

Rumours are the most fun thing about pre-season, but Adranik won't be signing for us for the reasons I mentioned above - whether he's better than Colace or Anderson or not.

Loko; I was down at Plymouth...

And remember Hammill coming off for Devaney, Macken coming off for Mifsud. Both like for like changes, but El Haimour was brought on for Bogdanovic, which wouldn't usually happen i presume. Was he going to be brought on for Bogdanovic then but he refused to go on after being dropped after the Reading game where we drew 0-0 to complement JCR coming back in to the team?

Clubs have things like that happen every week. If you was at Bradford today and i know this was not the manager but mon el hom (not sure how to spell his name) and steele was having some what of a disagreement. Souza did it last season and he played for barnsley after that.

But Souza felt the consequences at the end of the season.

He said he wanted to stay in England and if we did offer him a new deal then i'm sure he'd have accepted it, he loved Barnsley and the fans. If he did accept to go on the bench that night against Palace then i'm sure he'd be still at Barnsley now. He was an adaquate replacement for Moore for me. Would have left us feeling a little more ease knowing we don't have to fork out for a new CB.

Didn't get offered a new contract though did he?

Maybe his attitude on that occassion played a part in Davey's thinking?

Just told Davey there was no way he was going on for 5 minutes

Just a flat no, don't think it had anything to do with the Reading game, more just bone idolness from a loan player towards a game that, at the time, was completely irrelevant.

Don't see Davey going back there after that.

    No; but i'm saying...

If he didn't do what he did at the Palace game then do you think he'd have been offered a new contract and still be at the club now? I'm sure he would - that's where i'm coming from.

Also the fact he got took off on a stretcher at Coventry with cramp wouldn't have done his cause any good, upset a few on here and i'm sure Davey will have taken note of that knowing he went off and let us short at the back meaning we had to bring that fool El Haimour on and we ended up dropping 2 points from it, don't think abit of cramp would have needed a stretcher would it? I'm sure that played a part in it too.

    You've properly confused me there

I was agreeing with you, yet you seem to suggest I wasn't? Posted in the wrong place?
