Just a few few features on the forum that members may not know about that may be of some help. Editing own Thread title Thread titles can be edited within the first 15 minutes of posting the thread. There are 2 ways to edit your thread title if you make a mistake 1. click the edit button to edit your post then click the go advanced button and you will be taken to another page where you can edit your title as well as your post. 2. If using a Pc or laptop etc. on the forum home page double click in the space around your thread title and it will become editable. Check for Similar Threads To help prevent creating multiple threads on the same topic you can quick check to see if their is already a similar thread posted. To do this click to create a new thread as normal and enter the title of your thread. To the side of the title input box there is a "CHECK IF ALREADY POSTED" Button. Click this button for a quick list of similar threads already posted, if any. Mentioning You can mention other members in posts by using the @ symbol before their username. They will then get a notification that they have been mentioned. Highlight to Quote You can quote all or part of text by highlighting the required text, this will bring up a small quote bubble, click the it and the text will be quoted. you can do this on multiple posts and each will be quoted separately. This possibly only works on a Pc/laptop. Mentioning & Quoting stats You see stats for most mentioned / quoted members by clicking the community drop down menu at top of forum and selecting user tagging statistics PM Notification When you pm a member they get a notification highlighted at the top of the forum and a Pop up telling them they have a PM Reporting a post If you read something that you feel violates the forum rules click the report post icon below the post, all admin will now receive a pm. Ignore member If your find a member irritating or offensive etc you can put the member on your ignore list and will not longer see posts from that member. To do this Just click the members username at side of his post and select ignore from the menu or visit the mebers profile and select ignore Live Chat room You can chat with other members in real time by using the chat box, this is accessed by clicking the "Live Chat" link at top of the forum Display mode You can change the display mode of the forum while viewing a thread by clicking the "Display link" above the current thread. The three options are Linear, Threaded and Hybrid Like Thanks & Dislike You can Like Thank or Dislike Post by clicking the appropriate buttons below members posts while using the "linear" display mode. Like Thanks & Dislike stats You can view the stats for most likes etc by clicking the community drop down menu at top of forum and selecting Thanks / Likes statistics Rate a thread You can rate a the 1*- 5 * by clicking the rate thread link at top of the thread you are reading. the thread rating will be displayed on the forum home page
