A few thoughts on last night

    Fantastic to meet up for the first time with Mickey Finn, E.I.Addio, Young Nudger & Calgary Tyke who are all witty, urbane and great company. Great to see Wayne for the first time in bloody ages, too. I enjoyed watching the Reds for the first time since September and the difference is so noticeable. We look very impressive on the ball, commitment from every player and a much improved standard of self confidence.
    However, the news of the collapse and death of the gentleman in the East Stand (who'd attended the match with his grandson) has put everything with regards to football in it's true perspective.
    My condolences go out to the family.
    Also, what an immaculately observed minute's silence. Great credit to both sets of fans.
