a good old football tradition - why did it die out?

    chucking bog rolls from the Ponty used to be tremendous fun when I was a nip. I used to take a couple, one for when they come out on the pitch and one for the first goal. If you were lucky and stood near to the front you might get a bonus one hit you on the noggin that had been chucked from the back and not unravelled. Peter Springetts net always used to be covered in unused izal.</p>

    Think it was stopped when they were clamping down on hooligans and stopping things being thrown from the stands. Not that I'm saying there's owt wrong in throwing bog roll onto the pitch - other than if you get caught short and have to go for a sh*t at the game and find theres no bog roll!
