How come a lot of players hold their hand in front of the mouth when talking on the pitch? For example two players discuss a free kick strategy and both are covering their mouths with their hands - what are they afraid of? That the opponent has hired expert lip readers to reveal their strategy? Or perhaps they're just abusing the referee or using naughty language... who knows!
Not just World Cup mate, been happening in La Liga, Premier League etc for ages now. I understand why they do it, but it just looks like playground antics.
Think it is for lip reading, tennis players do it in doubles. Still think refs should have microphones like rugby so you can hear what is said.
They're probably not talking about the free kick at all...it'll be did you see last night's Love Island?....the blonde with the big t***s....I've already snapchatted a picture of my Ferrari to her.
Or if might be 'i could with a dump, but i dont think i could get away with it in HD like Lineker did on potato powered TV quality.'
