i come on thee bbs every day, every week and read all the doom and gloom when we lose and all the happiness when we win,but i cant get despondent about yesterday in the next 48 hours our home and livelyhood here in maryland could be ripped to shreds by hurricane sandy, one of the biggest storms to hit the north east coast of the USA. Were battening down the hatches boarding up as much as we can and just going to ride the storm out.i will try to get some good pictures as it will be the first hurricane i will have been involved in as i only got here in june. my disabled father in law who is 85 and mother in law 80 wont leave there home and my wife and i pray they will be ok (there very stubborn). the will be power outages as is the norm when it gets windy here due to all power cables been above ground and surrounded by trees. there is a good chance of heavy flooding and even reports we could get 2-4 ft of snow. so for me yesterdays result is just a minor set back in what keith and flicker are trying to acheive . yes we werent very good but at least we have a team that, moan or groan happy or sad everyone of us should be proud of. i know i am when people ask me here who i support. UP THE REDS AND BACK TO WINNING WAYS AGAINST HULL
You are correct although the bfc situation isnt at the moment worrying we just need to give them time . and thankyou
All the best fella. I feel a bit silly now after complaining about our weather and how cold it was last night when i was in town dressed as Beetlejuice...
B*gger the footy mate, hope you and the extended family get through the next few days as unscathed as possible. Will have everything crossed for you!

All the best mate, football is just a game, and it's far too easy to lose track of reality, best of luck.
hey guys, power not out as yet.wind getting stronger by the minute. some trees are begining to topple, all transport systems closed. thanks for all your messages. my wife and i live on the 2nd floor of an apartment block so flooding wont be a problem for us,unless it washes the car away LOL. the worst expected around 8 this evening. my in laws have a ground floor apartment in ocean city maryland. were hoping that will be ok but im guessing it wont be its right on the beech were just hunkering down and waiting for the inevitable power outage. its actually quite fun. i probably wont be saying that when the 80 mph winds arrive
aww pish posh stop yer moaning I live in Wales now, thats worse than Hades. No seriously its ok, but hey Guy be safe and let us all know when its over and all is well. Godd luck
Been watching CNN present it in a typically Hollywood 'countdown to disaster' stylee for the past few hours - can see how bad it's becoming. They've chosen to focus on New York and Manhattan so it's hard to know how bad other areas are faring. I know you were due the worst of it before New York so presumably its on its way in to you right now - just keep your heads well and truly down, and hopefully let it pass without serious incident. All the very best to you and yours mate.
