    Former Stoke City player John Ritchie passed away yesterday , aged 65 . He scored 171 goals in 343 appearances for City in two spells , either side of a spell at Sheffield Wednesday ( 35 goals in 89 matches ) .

    our fans respect the minute silence the correct way. Too many times our fans seem to make noise during these sort of things. Not a player i have heard of. But what a cracking goal scoring record for him. Sounds like a true Stoke legend.

    Agree. I remember John Ritchie - good player (except when he was a deedar!!) and deserving of respect.
