To the 3000 or so extra Barnsley fans that turned up today. Please keep coming. Was a good atmosphere today. The team played in front of a crowd they deserved today, and they responded, so should you.
Yes I agree mate, I commented on that myself when the attendance was worked out (although didnt quite have 3000 extra there imo). If Hill is just starting to pull people back to the home games then that's well deserved. Money is still tight for a lot of folk round here though and it might just be a blip because it was Leeds. However, then again, the 'extras' who did turn up will now surely want to come down again...?
It would be nice if they did and like you say this team deserve to be playing in front of a crowd like today every home game. Unfortunately the sad reality is that many of them won't be seen again at Oakwell until the next big game. It's a shame because they are missing a very good season.
i really think money is a big issue round here at the moment. £30 is a huge ask- fine for a treat but people are hurting in barnsley more than the average town with its public sector reliance. there's something about '30' that just sounds too much to justify imo. it's a lot of money
football is bullsh in this regard. it should be like 15 quid for a game and all the wages etc filtered down accordingly. its ridiculous
