Macclesfield defrauded the football foundation to the tune of AROUND £200k according to the BBC. The money that they saved on building the stand obviously filtered it's way back into the playing side of things as it would with any club that suddenly finds themselves 200k up on their budget.
This all took place between 2000 and 2002 during which time we met them in the cup and they beat us ending our cup hopes for another year and potentially costing us a lot of valuable money. This happened just 3 weeks before we were placed into administration so I have to ask myself, if Macclesfield hadn't commited fraud and stole money from the football foundation then they would not have had an unfair advantage over all other clubs and maybe wouldnt have beaten us placing us into administration.</p>
