A point tonight would be an outstanding result for us.

I'd even accept a 1 goal defeat, so long as we show some intent and play well. A narrow defeat would help to build confidence in my book, whereas my biggest fear is that this is one of the games where we could get a hiding. A thrashing could be disastrous for confidence so early on in the season.

As long as we show the same effort and commitment as Saturday I don't care what we do.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was getting at. I'm not saying a defeat is ever a good thing, but even a defeat in the right manner tonight could help to build confidence, as we will come away knowing we can compete with the better sides.

Erm, no it wouldn't. And no defeat is acceptable, though it wouldn't be unacceptable if which make a good show of ourselves. It's all inconsequential anyway because the Reds are going to win, I've predicted it!
