to pay on the gate at oakwell it is £20 minimum for an adult and a few quid more in east stand. a mate of mine went to bramall lane yesterday and paid £16 on the gate. its the same price for there next home game. it seems they have a much better pricing policy than down at oakwell. 20% cheaper. they also run at least 6 specials per season where its £10 for adults and much less for kids.
they have more money than us, better marketing, and they are generally less reliant on gate receipts because they have money coming in in greater quantities and from more angles than we have. They also have high attendances.
The club should do the £2 off discount for tickets bought in advance it then stops people who might on the day change their mind about attending etc and the club gets the money upfront - yes people can buy season tickets but some like myself due to my bitch of an ex - oops i digress, couldnt afford one at the time, it does make me question my choice on attending the games much more on the day especially when recent performances and results have been poor etc!
unless they stick knife in with telephone/p+p charge like they used to and prob still do. No one can argue with 20 quid to get in. Club can't afford to charge any less. Sure end of season the Forest games for example will be 15 quid or something is a 6-pointer
agree then - but when it shuts at 5pm and you don't live in the town centre to pop down at lunch it aint ideal. Think the numbers down Oakwell are as good as we will get until (and if) we ever go up again.
sheff utd add a quid onto the £16 to ring and book in advance and then collect your ticket on matchday. still, £17 aint bad compared to £22 in east stand.
The theiving gets should drop the £2 charge when buying tickets with a debit card.
Wonder if that was one of Don Rowing's little gems?
