I think we are a proper right back short of a top two side...

I'm not having a dig at Brown but he's a centre back playing out there and doing a decent job but I'd love to see a McLaughlin type brought in.....

He played a role in a couple of our goals. Could have easily been given MOTM today. Looks really good and think you're being harsh :)

Agree. Assisted two goals today I believe. Doesn't look like a natural right back but seems to have a decent cross and OK defensively.

I felt he was poor against Crawley but a lot better today, I still think he doesn't go forward enough but it's hard to criticise him after the part he played in both goals

I can't fault him at all, he's not an out and out right back but he's doing an excellent job! He's one of the first on the team sheet for me.

A proper right back defends first, he's pretty good to me

I would agree, he was poor in opening game and 1st half at Crewe. At times we look pretty vulnerable down our right side. Would like to see us go in for Brayford at Cardiff. Not sure if he is playing first team football this season under Solsjar, but he looked to be good consistent performer at right back at Sheff Utd last season. However, Brown is not a bad player. Centre half is his preferred position I think, but we need strength in depth to maintain top 6 all season. Good team performance today. Cranie MOTM for me, looks class in this division.

Totally agree. Sound defensively and a great eye for a good pass. Not a typical modern day attacking full back but v sound. Bloke in front of me moaning about him today then he offers up two assists. Perfect timing Reece. Good show.

Did well today, not totally convinced but he's another young player developing and adjusting to a new position. Would love McLaughlin but would be happy to continue with Brown with Bree as cover

The lad was excellent today. If he keeps playing like that a "proper right Back" whatever that means won't be able to shift him out of the team. He is a class act.

Agree with this. I'm more than happy with Brown. Wins headers, strong in the tackle and he can whip a good cross in. Don't really care if he doesn't beat a man first, it's the delivery of the cross that matters and he seems to get a few in every game. Looks like a very good signing.

Also with the budget restrictions...we just cant keep bringing players in..we all know he's not a right back but he does do a good job. Plus we as a team are small enough without getting rid of one of our biggest-tallest players...(bar bigjean)

Thought he was our weakest player. Hopefully better as a centre half. Dudgeon needs signing on a permanent basis. Lita v Cole/!

Browns doing a good job and will get better as the season progresses, he puts cracking crosses in too.

Not being funny, but if we have attacking full backs we will concede even more. Folk are bairning at how many we concede, **** me Cranie and Nyatanga can't do do it all by themselves.

Thought he played good today and linked up very well with Berry who seems to be settling in and improving by each game.

I completely agree, I thought he was excellent yesterday and to be honest I've been impressed with him each time I've seen him. I was speaking to a lad before the game who said he thought he was **** which I thought was an unbelievable assessment of a very promising young player after a few games. I really don't know what goes on in some fans heads during games.

I don't think he's **** or I'm not having a go at the lad I just think over a full season we will need a right back that plays predominantly as a right back...

It's obvious when you watch him he is out of position but he definitely improved as the game went on as did Berry. He's a young player with potential I would like us to have a specialist option in his position as I think he will have his struggles against the better wingers in the division. To not a criticism of the chap he is doing well in an unfamiliar position.
