do you have any opinions regarding London 2012 and the Olympic games?

Nowt sinister in this by the why but just would like to hear your thoughts on the last couple of weeks regarding the greatest sporting event on the planet.

 

He did briefly mention the little matter of the London Olympic Games the other day. Something about football being better and the players earning more money.
Other than that, I think the most significant, joyous and entertaining sporting event in the majority of British people's lives, has largely passed him by.

 

He's been too busy travelling the length and breadth of the country watching Barnsley under 11's play pre season friendlies to notice the olympics and when he has had a minute at home he's been a bit too occupied with watching Manchester United play a friendly competition in outer space against a martian 11. Sat there on his bed, MUTV on the telly with ferdinands twitter constantly on refresh at one side of him and a box of tissues at the other side.

 

Watched quite a lot of it in different formats. Highlights and that.

But what roller-coaster ride i went through the whole thing was very flat.
Along with the last day of the premier league season, the whole things doesn't come close.

 

You're right, finding out who is the absolute best in the world at something which they have have spent years preparing for is nowhere near as exciting as finding out whether manchester city have managed to buy the english football league is it.

I can't get excited about some of the things.
