Most of you it seems still go to Oakwell and you have every right to be there. My question is what do you do during the match? Do you sit there impassively or do you actually support the players and manager? Zetland
Quite honestly I find that offensive as much as I think that Davey has had his time I have never done anything during a game than get behind the team, except maybe when I have been sat in sttunned silence near the end of another defeat and I am sure that goes for most of the others.
Re: A question for the 'Davey out group' I go and don't really back the club with singing anymore, can't get up for the games i feel like im going to Oakwell more as a duty than for pleasure. Never felt like this about BFC before but to be honest some games im just bored of watching the same players in the same positions making the same mistakes and yet they play every week.
Zetland i taken offense at that question I support the team through thick and thin get behind them at games ... but he picks the team hassell out of the regular startin XI that is not his team and time n time again its the same he never picks the tactics to beat a team he picks a team to avoid defeat thats what annoys me.
Re: A question for the 'Davey out group' I'd agree with that, there's a lack of entertainment. You look forward to the game only to be faced with the same outcome.
Re: A question for the 'Davey out group' Every game just seems like its the same match being played over and over again.
RE: Zetland i taken offense at that question I'm not intending to be offensive. People will disagree about tactics, team selection etc. but still support the team. I accept some people want Davey out. What I can't understand is what those people do when they are actually at a match. They can't cheer the manager because they wan thim out, they can't support the players because they are 'davey's players' I assume they just go to whinge on and on and on.
I sit there with my mouth wide open in stunned silence - as I can't believe I'm witnessing the ineptitude and I've paid £270 for the pleasure
RE: Zetland i taken offense at that question I always sat on the fence with Davey, i sing and cheer on the team but I have never ever sang Simon Daveys name, I do admire Simon Daveys perserverance from not being accepting with fans and trying to get on with it, he must learn hes done what he can and its time he left with a bit of dignity
RE: A question for the 'Davey out group' I take it you don't go to matches otherwise you'd know what they do
We watch the game very closely... See where the faults are, see where it's working, see what we need to improve. What do you do? Sit in the bog with the door locked. Because you obviously don't watch the game if you think we are going somewhere under davey!
RE: Zetland i taken offense at that question Yeah I agree with that... I'll always support Davey because I support Barnsley, that isn't saying that I always agree with his decisions! The thing that get me is... he knows that a lot of the fans hate him, or at least don't chant his name like we have other managers, but he still says he is determined to suceed, and that he loves the club... when he does suceed by keeping us in the division, the fans still don't change their views about him, if I was him I'd just say 'F*ck off then, I'm off'. So the guy obviously loves the club... but is that enough????
I'll start liking him when we win some games ....... ........ 4 wins in the league in 2009 is one of the reasons why he is unpopular
RE: I'll start liking him when we win some games ....... Yep that is pretty pathetic/embarassing/sackable???? Remember the first year back in the Championship, didn't we lose 2 or 3 at home all year or something like that? I think our last win at home was March (possibly wrong!)... bloody hell.
Re: A question for the 'Davey out group' I'd agree with that statement. Groundhog day springs to mind.
Correct, this is the sorry tale of our 2009 'successes' ....... ...... Sheff Wed 0-1 Barnsley 17-02-2009 Barnsley 2-1 QPR 28-02-2009 Barnsley 3-1 C Palace 17-03-2009 Plymouth 1-2 Barnsley 03-05-2009
