…they’re expecting a hammering coming to Oakwell on Friday. DKD & Phillips are mentioned in this thread, apparantly Malik Wilks is now an injury threat who’s been by far their best player recently & Steve Evans sent his assistant for the post-match press conference yesterday… all is not well…

We all know our home form has been abysmal but this is one where we have to put them to the sword.

Same team as yesterday barring Phillips in for Watters, DKD pushed up top; 3-5-2.

Id 100% start Watters, especially at home. Fingers crossed for a win, mate.

Personally I think if you start Phillips it means pushing DKD further up top and I think he’s better just behind, I’d start with Watters and fetch Phillips on in the second half

We have to start performing better at home . Let’s hope that starts Friday.

Any home game is tough for us no matter what form the opposition is in. We always seem to find a way to gift a goal or two. Let’s hope we shed the habit come Friday.

I’ve never seen us lose to Rotherham. In fact, we’ve only lost once to them in my lifetime. I was 8 weeks old apparently. Granted, we are rarely in the same division, but it’s still something like a dozen games without defeat. Even in the COVID era without fans, I saw us beat them when we had no right to. They battered us and lost regardless.

Big win on Friday night and I think that would really kickstart our campaign. DC is clearly landing on a formula, a regular team selection. The players look up to speed now. I’m looking forward to it.

If Mallik Wilks is their best player then surely we should be OK?

Have I completely imagined us losing to them quite badly a few years ago when Keiffer Moore played for them? I can't find any evidence of that match existing at all but Im sure I watched us lose about 4 or 5 nil at the new York stadium

Hmm maybe a friendly actually now I think about it but still can't find owt about it online

We got hammered by them in a friendly under Hecky.

Not quite as bad as the 9-1 gubbing by Leeds a couple years back.

Wasn't the 9-1 gubbing by Leeds the game that the club never actually acknowledged taking place?

It was a behind closed doors training ground knockabout in fairness. Rolling subs. Played in monsoon conditions. Arranged late on and not publicised. You’ll be surprised to know they occur a lot, games like that. We’ll have had at least a couple this season already. It just got leaked, that Leeds one.

Poor isn't it. It should have been on by half 5 last night.
