    According to Sky Sports...

2-1 to Bristol Rovers on aggregate then?! :D

What are Bristol Rovers playing at then scoring 3 goals....would be better off just defending!

An even worse comment than saying "away goals count double"

    Exactly...

How hard is to just explain what the actual scenario is?!

If the tie is level on aggregate after 2 legs of 90 minutes it goes to extra time.

    That's it!

I was just in the canteen in the place where I'm working at the moment and the commentator said about away goals not counting in the play-offs and i immediately thought of you.

Then my next thought was how annoying it is when people say "away goals count double" because it is such utter cack. i then thought that i bet that saying really winds you up as well. :)

    Hehe, this away goal 'confusion'

Really annoys me too, though it is more funny than annoying actually!

By 'confusion', I mean confusion amongst the media!

Anyone would think it was difficult

goals count the same whether scored at home or away isnt a difficult concept to grasp

It's a shame though when we lose 2-1 away in the league...

    That we don't get a draw :D

    Yes

And the "away goals rule" is simply that if teams are level on aggregate then the team that scored most goals away go through.

I often imagine Eastander sitting at home with a real ale in one hand and shaking

his fist at the screen with the other hand as Motty runs through a series of semantic errors.
