Our Set Pieces have been DREADFUL for quite some time now. SD assured us that he had been working on tactics and formations in pre-season, rather than (just) fitness - as has been the case previously.

Can anyone explain to me HOW he has been able to work on Set Pieces during the summer, when the man who takes them all (Hammill) only arrived at the club a few days ago?

Butterfields corners are not bad. RNL where not bad against that hungarian team as well. Hume's weren't bad either last year . Ive not seen that set piece today though. Seen other teams do similar.

Hassels chipped freekicks aiming for Moore are an embarasment to the coaches at oakwell, nothings changed from last season & Hammills corners werent much better.

Have to say. They were very poor.

Hume took the corners in the closing stages

I'm assuming he will be "first choice" when available - but Hammill took a fair few LAST season when he was on loan. Whatever the choice, a LOT of work needs to be done on the training ground.

Think they did a good job on us. Offside trap worked a treat, they played the ref (injuries etc) well. Professional performance. Not pretty though.
