But the timing of it all as confused me a bit. Should we have waited until the end of the season? He was a decent player but not as good as Howard is. But we really need a loan signing to cover for Howard and McPhail during the run in. Has anybody got any ideas on who should be brought in? Is that Horlock guy any good?
If we had waited until the end of the season Burns wouldnt have a chance of going to the world Cup and thats why hes left.
RE: agree about Howard but im sure Reid or even Heslop (or any other reserve/youth player) would provide adequate cover until Kell is fully fit to provide cover.

What has got into peoples heads Burns was great you cant just forget that overnight. So Howard scores one goal and he's suddenly this great star, he didnt even have that good a game and the MOTM poll will back that up from loads of peoples perspectives.</p> No way is Howard better not from what weve seen already. and if someone comes out with 'he has the potential' B*ll*cks then so does nicky wroe doesnt mean you lot think he's better than burns.</p> For me, what he has shown this season has been brilliant hes scored to aid wins and cancelled out defeats with his game reading, experience and know how. Give him some respect and dont let this one game wonder hero change your views. without burns this season could have fallen apart, he may not have been the most influential player but sure he was there when we needed him and Howard wasnt so you cant say he's better. </p> Also who's going to play this Saturday because howard cannot be cover for himself being suspended like he was for burns. we owe burns alot so lets not throw it back in his face by praising someone better that we've hardly ever seen and anyone who booed him on saturday should be ashamed of themselves and their role as a fan. Surely all that proves is most people didn't think he was the best player on the day - how many for instance thought, like I did, that he was close to MotM but was shaded by another player. He was excellent on Saturday.
