a tale about bobby robson, as told by andy townsend on talksport

they were doing itv's coverage for a world cup a few years ago. andy, bobby and the other pundits had a meeting with the director, producer and other pembers of the staff. they met them and finally came to a woman.
"i'm gin, an assistant" she said,
"i had a dog called gin" bobby replied, and the girl didn't know what to say back and just smiled.
they all met up again 2 years later working for the european championships.
when he met the woman again she said " hello mr robson nice to meet you again". he stood there and replied " i'm sorry, but i just can't remember your name".
"i've got the same name as a dog you had"
" roger!" was robson's answer.
was pissing myself when i heard this yesterday just shows without meaning it, how funny he is.

 

He is sweet like a cuddly old Grandad

 

Robson is a legend. The word is used lightly but he really is. Been successful all around Europe, which is unusual for an English coach, and I will never forget 1990. Massive respect for him.
