First 20 minutes he was running around chasing back, running with the ball, running forwards to join the attack and shooting when he got the chance. I'd have him in the side every week putting that effort in with his ability.

Then Wilson seemed to change it. Pearson came wide, lalcovic went central and hourihane went missing. Why? I don't get it. Its like hourihane just refuses to put the effort in when we play that formation.

It's clear what his strength is and where he makes us tick most. Trouble is Wilson can't see it.

    Give up.

He was mediocre all game. Has been for weeks now.

He gets rid whenever anyone is near him. Tries his best to make sure it goes backwards.

He shoots only when it would have been rude not to. His aerial challenges are girly.

    His confidence is shot.

His worth presently lies only when the ball isn't moving. Fair enough. But we could get more change out of Glen Hoddle on that basis.

I do agree that it has taken one hell of a manager/coach to turn an apparent diamond into a lump of coal.
