Missed out on the play offs by one goal on goal difference............ http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/table/default.stm
No thought For Mick McCarthy.......AT ALL !!! I wish some TARN supporters would wake up to the fact and realise that other football clubs are in direct competition with Barnsley Football Club..........McCarthy is in the business of beating Barnsley Football Club......therefore he is an enemy of Barnsley Football Club. He may come from Barnsley but we can have NO sympathy with him Other clubs want to beat Barnsley Football Club and they don't give 2 pins if we got relegated and by doing so lose Patrick Cryne ££££ millions So I do not give a flying f****k about other football clubs in fact I detest the lot of them and their supporters. I do not even speak to opposing supporters before a match - its hypocracy to wish other supporters good luck before a game in the boozer and be all pally pally with them and then chant obsceneties at one another during a match The only time I want another English team to win is if they are playing a foreign team But this does not include Weeds, Wendy, Blunts...........cos I just want these clubs to go out of business.......period/full stop
RE: No thought For Mick McCarthy.......AT ALL !!! Looks like your on the road to another ban Nudge, good to see you back.
RE: No thought For Mick McCarthy.......AT ALL !!! Mick McCarthy was a great Servant to Barnsley Football Club and is still a supporter His Job has taken him to other clubs - thats all Obviously I wish him total failure when playing us but I dont wish any other ill. I do feel a bit sad on his behalf. Regarding other teams I quite enjoy chatting to fans before and after the game - I never wish them luck, but tend not to shout obsceneties at them either - (well with one or two exceptions) quick point though - if other teams start going out of business - who do we play - and if all the yorkshire sides went out of business who's results would we look for to see if they had lost
LOL well I'd argue you had said things that were not right - wanting sides to go out of business for example
I don't wish Mick McCarthy any ill.......but he is in the business of fleecing Barnsley FC.... Example............McIndoe.....our best player at the time When, might I just remind people, that we were in the bottom 3 or there abouts and looking odds on to go down Did McCarthy wonder this at that time............"no, I'll not take McIndoe because if I do it looks certain that Barnsley will go down" Don't think so, do you ???
Hard luck Macca. Nobody can doubt that he still loves Barnsley. Bad to see him miss out by a point. In an ideal world he'd be steering BFC to the Premier League and together we'd by top of the division (ideal world). Failing that, we've had had an ok season, with some very memorable high points, I would have loved to have seen Wolves in the play-offs - especially at the expense of the 'we should have beaten teams like Barnsley' Watford lot. This doesn't detract in any way from the gratitude I've got for Davey - who has done a very good job this year to keep us up and take us on a very enjoyable Cup run. (Y) I think any sensible person can see that you can empathise with an opponent, and not be disloyal to your own side. My enemy's enemy is my friend and all that.
I'm not sure that he is 'in the business off fleecing Barnsley Football Club' I think the business he is in is football. It's a fairly neutral position. We'd take a good player from them on the cheap if we could. Macca wouldn't hold it against us. It's just business. He's a bloke who is making a living managing a football team - it's one of the hardest ways to make a living. There's no doubt that he still loves Barnsley - club and town - I'm sure he'd rather be knocking on the door of the play-offs with us than them, but that's life. There's room to spare a thought for him at a difficult time - I'm sure he's always kept a fond eye on us.
Ok Then How About A Thought For.......... Jon Parkin on getting promoted to the premiership with Stoke City (Y) (Y) (Y)
RE: Ok Then How About A Thought For.......... you mean like thinking which club he will be with next season or as soon as they can offload him? Premiership material ...think not
Gotta Hand It To Him He got released at 19, fell down the leagues and had the bottle to work his way up and is now playing for a premiership bound team.
