OK we played poorly, not upto the usual standards, but hey ho, we were 2 a 1 up and they were down to 10 men with an outfield player in goal. What do we do? We piss about passing the ball around the back with 17 minutes to go. And then in the 8th minutes of the 7 minutes added on, we concede. Surprise, surprise, from a crap performing team, who certainly believed the hype on here that the result was a forgone conclusion. Why Hammell was not replaced at half time I don't know. His over steps had been sussed out, and thus his performance as well as his shooting was well below par. Winnall without Watkins is like a car without an engine, and the two full backs were second best until their Acting Manager took off (surprisingly) their two best players.

In conclusion, it's been a good season since the New Year, and we have a lot to build on. If we lose Winnall and Hourihane to decent money, I am confident their replacements will be of a similar standard, and the club will have a better season in 2016-17

You do realise we're playing next week and are sitting in sixth place?

Lose Winnall for decent money i hope that is a joke, he is getting worse game by game if any team are actually interested in him we should sell and bring in someone else, last few games he's been no netter than Dave Regis ever was

Winnall was awful today don't know if the leeds bid unsettled him or he is missing watkins or he is injured but he has been poor for some time for me. His chance to goal ratio is getting bigger and bigger. I want the old sam back for next Sunday please.

Winnall hasn't been up to it for a few games... could it be because he's worked his bag out unselfishly for 50 odd matches?

To me he isn't fully fit. Chasing the ball in the second half and he was towing. Don't think he's fully over the injury.

He's definitely missing Watkins, as is the team.

All the offensive players who've played Saturday - Tuesday almost every week are on their arses. Absolutely knackered. Nothing in the tank. It kills you that high pressing style we've gone with the past few months.

Surely everyone can see Winnall, Hammill, Hourihane & Brownhill are knackered? It's not lack of effort or anything like that, they're just done in.

Unfortunately the depth of the squad isn't good enough to rest them & we're trying to scrape over the line

He's been a yard off pace all season nothing to do with running out of steam he simply isn't good enough. if he was we'd of won league easily with the amount of chances he has had.

I couldn't agree more about Watkins. Winnall hasn't looked right all season though time to replace

Bit harsh on Winnall. 20 goals Is a massive contribution. And I think he's playing through the injury.

The team is running on empty TBH. We have a good 12-15 players, but then we start to struggle when injuries kick in, and it's showing now.

"Winnall simply isn't good enough". A reminder of the side of Oakwell I don't miss.

And how many times this season have you seen him play? this season i have yet to see him play well, last season thought he was fantastic he needs a long rest and replaced he isn't good enough for a team wanting to push for play offs

Obviously living a way away, I've only made it to four games this season, one of which was the JPT Final - where he played fantastically for sixty minutes before going off as he clearly wasn't fully fit. I keep very close tabs through player highlights, family and friends who do go more regularly than I can - and from where I'm sitting, it seems that his performances have dipped because he's carrying an injury. Nobody gets 20 goals a season by being "not good enough". They just don't. My personal feeling is that his lack of pace combined with the fact that he's quite injury prone means he would struggle at Championship level. But currently we're not there. Hopefully we'll get the chance to see.

So scoring 20 goals a season isn't good enough for a team chasing the play offs. Have a word with yourself mate.

it is a great contribution but with amount of chances he's had it should be much higher

Again Winnall missing sitters has cost us. I can say this now the season draws to a close without fear of getting banned off the board for being repetitive. :)
