There are no other words for it. Stan had a mare. Ref Eddie Ilderton ignored two penalty appeals, both well inside the area when Fitz Hall took Jon Macken from behind and a Stephen Foster header hit a hand. Barnsley boss Simon Davey checked the game video and declared them both genuine. QPR manager Luigi de Canio wasn't having that. "I honestly believe that my player took the ball so I didn't think it was a penalty," his interpreter said. The handball? No comment, in Italian or English. Both clubs and managers accepted a point apiece on a real stay at home night. Trucks were being blown over just up the road so there just wasn't going to be a load of tidy football. What do you think? Post your comments below. Barnsley had chances, QPR had a flurry too and improved early in the second half. They probably couldn't believe it was still 0-0 as they went for half-time. After a Brian Howard power drive had tested keeper Lee Camp, the QPR keeper bungled and big time. Some how he dropped the ball at Stan's size 12s and just outside the six yard box. All he had to do was look up and roll the ball a few yards into the empty net. He thought there was time to change feet from iffy left to trusty right. Bad move. While he shuffled, Hall got back on the line and blocked the ball when it came in. Some 30 minutes later Stan messed up in front of another open goal. He was on the end of best move of the first half. Howard spread the play right with a long pass to man of the match Jamal Campbell-Ryce. The little winger's run and cross were top rate. The ball needed just a far post nod in. Stan chucked himself at it, got there and from a couple of yards out clipped the post and the ball dropped for a goalkick. QPR were lively but keeper Luke Steele on his Oakwell debut got nothing he couldn't handle comfortably before half-time. More of a test followed. Martin Rowlands gave steele an anxious moment when his low drive cannoned off the young goalie's chest. Dexter Blackstock got to the loose ball and skyed it from around 12 yards. Steele needed Lewin Nyatanga's help to keep a clean sheet when Angelo Balanta evaded him. Nyatanga, back in the team after being dropped at Norwich, made a crucial block on the line. QPR came again and Rowlands blasted a cross through a penalty area crowd before Blackstock had a clear header on a Damien Delaney centre and directed it over the bar. Barnsley with Kayode Odejayi on for Stan and Diego Leon replacing Martin Devaney on the left flank closed out the game just about on top. Rowlands foul on Howard brought a 25 yard shooting chance at a freekick. Leon smashed it on target and was denied only by keeper Camp's dive and palm over the top. Leon then cleverly worked spaced for himself in the area only to blast over. Macken went down as Hall tackled from the back and it could have been a pen. Likewise seconds later Foster's nod onto Rowland's hand might have been a spotkick. Given either Barnsley would have doubtless swung the game. Davey wasn't down about the outcome. QPR beat Barnsley 2-0 just over a month ago at their place and last night had the reward of a point. He brought back Nyatanga, Macken, Marciano van Homoet and Campbell-Ryce back as Anderson de Silva and Rob Kozluk were declared unfit. Leon started on the bench and on loan Daniel Nardiello was barred from playing by QPR, the club who still hold his registration.</div>
