..considering the events of the past few days. From the highs of the penalty shoot out against Fleetwood on Thursday to the Johnson saga afterwards it will not have been an easy ride for the players and there may be a few tired legs with the likes of Hammill and White only just returning from injury.

If we don't win today I don't think any of us should panic, I was half expecting a defeat today even before Lee asked to leave as there's a high chance there could be the Everton to Rochdale effect again.

I'm not ruling a win out and I personally think we should stick with Wright and Hecky regardless of the result but if we do win today it will be a great result.

Agreed. Very tough game for the players today for all sorts of reasons. Plus Flicker will be desperate to get one over on us. Crowd can play a big part to keep spirits high. Hope there's a good turn out. The players deserve it for the effort that's gone in these last couple of months, particularly Thursday night.

Yes it looked a tough fame for us before all the furore.

I think the players will get a great reception today and hopefully that can lift them over the finishing line. But if not it's there's no need to panic.

I think the opposite. I think this weeks events will gel the squad even more. Onwards and upwards.

I felt that after Thursday night it was always going to be difficult to play this game today, the recovery time isn't great physically for one, but more mentally, there's often an 'after the Lord Mayors show' effect.

That said, the events which followed will either enhance that, or possibly even galvanise them and pick them up. Hard to tell.

Either way, win lose or draw today we needn't get carried away one way or another. A win would be great though if we want to stay in touch - the chances of the playoffs aren't great, more because of the number of clubs above us than the points difference, (I'd fancy us to pick eight points up on some of them, just unlikely all of them)- but we still have a punchers chance, three points today is probably needed to maintain that, but as well as they've played I for one wouldn't be too critical in the event of a poor performance today.
