This next few months will see what a superb service the nhs is, a wonder if there’ll be a influx of people wanting to be a part of it?

There’s always been lots of interests in careers in NHS it’s just last few years they’ve been put off by low wages , long hours and and poor working conditions due to lack a care from their employers
Ps also the poor incentives to train up ie bursaries etc.

I started with the NHS yesterday at Pinderfields hospital in the transport department, I had been working indirectly for the NHS through an agency again in the transport sector covering all Yorkshire and parts of Lincolnshire, picking up smear samples from GP surgeries, hospitals, prisons etc, then I received a call to have an interview at Pinderfields hospital and hey presto here I am in the trenches with the most wonderful people on the planet, we operate between Pinderfields, Dewsbury and Pontefract, again picking up all manner of things from various labs including lots of Covid 19 samples, I have to say the experience so far has been humbling and inspiring and even in these times of real uncertainty I can honestly say I have never laughed as much in my life, the good humour shown by everybody connected to our NHS is infectious and life affirming.
