Conways payed the price for his miss management of our club, his shoulders it lays negligence of the highest order I'd say the other board members got fed up off his egotistic attitude and did something about it. Just like Davey Him and his side kicks are now gone consigned to the mist of time, joining others who split the fan base but leaving a bitter pill to swallow ... it time to move on for us all.but lets not forget Let the anger go otherwise it consumes you and makes you bitter
So in a year we have gone from the playoffs to league 1 after having an abysmal season on and off the field. Those responsible for decision making at the club should be ashamed. It's going to be a long way back I feel.
I agree, recent news is a positive, but we aren’t a big fish in a little pond in this league anymore. Reality is we are a yo yo team between the championship & league 1 & it will take a lot of hard work to get us back to competing in the Championship again. It can be done, just look at Luton, unfortunately though it will take us a long time to get out of this league.
I disagree. We don't know how much money will be invested by the new regime. Hopefully this takeover of sorts will sort out some of the mess and bring in the players needed.
The fall from grace in the last year has been unbelievable. Mismanagement of the highest order to drop from 5th to 24th in one season. The recent news with regards to ownership structure though makes me a feel a lot better about our future prospects. I can cope with playing in L1 as long as the club is run correctly and decisions are made with the fans taken into consideration. Feeling optimistic about the future all of a sudden.....hope it's not misplaced.
I don't think it is. Glad the ambition is to re-establish ourselves in the Championship and not just steady the ship. You have to be promoted before the main target so it reads well.
Beyond anything else, it's incredible how the feeling of sheer joy and relief of being able to attend a football match again dissipated. Despite the result, that play off game was a real high as a Reds fan, and I couldn't wait for everyone else to get back in the ground again. By errors of my own making I missed the first two home games, and by the time of the Birmingham game people were already pretty disillusioned (despite us having only lost one game at that point!). It went down and down from there. Let's hope this is the bottom of the curve.
I don't think the arsoling at Man City helped in pre-season. The biggest moment was the QPR match away. The players never recovered. Had we gone three nil up in that game the season would have been completely different. It felt like a game changer at the time. The team looked like it had totally clicked. Benson gets booked and can't put a foot in anymore and the rest is history.
One year anniversary of the first time in a matter of days that Dike was made to look ordinary by Marc Guehi. How time flies.
Well my main take on that day was not individual performances of certain players, but an offside goal being allowed. Any player can have an off day
