Excellent, I didn't realise there were two games. I have a meeting in Sheffield at 10am and was wondering if I'd make it back to see the end of the game, but I should easily be back in time for the start of the second one.

I'm certainly aiming to make it for the second game. Could be interesting. Curious that there are two games though. Two different squads maybe?

Players like Aaron Finch are only with us for a short time so it would be silly to miss out. For anyone who hasn't had the pleasure he is some cricketer! Going to Headingley on Sunday as well to see him make his first team debut for this season - did well for us last year of course.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Yorkshire play at Shaw Lane before, late 1960s or early 70s maybe. Used to be an occasional county fixture there - same time as Bramall Lane was three-sided. Also saw them play on a windy day at Huddersfield when Boycott lost a contact lens at the wicket and he and Dickie Bird were on their hands and knees searching for it!

Hope he isn't average for us like he was last summer. It took until his last game for us in the 20/20 to get a score. I think him being injured might work out better for us because he won't be tired from the IPL and has had a good rest this time around.

He's a handy fielder, no doubt about that. His two stunning catches last season when Adam Lyth jumped backwards over the boundary and palmed the ball to Finch proved that. The one at Headingley was the pick of the two and I was just yards from it in the north east stand
