Couldn't get tickets, was only interested in front standing or first few blocks of seats

Not paying 38 nicker to stand at back of a large shed

Seen em 6 times and the two times indoors(sheff & nottm)were average.Oasis are a outdoors stadium band, prefereby in summer with a mad crowd and plenty of booze

I was looking for tickets, now I have some money, but I'm not paying the Ebay prices.

Its been 15 years since I went, but the main things I remember were the Tivoli gardens and the little mermaid in the harbour - there was a nice view of the entire Danish naval fleet across from the mermaid as well.

    Just avoid the little Mermaid

Only thing I remember about the place - walked for an hour in a downpour just to see a tiny statue sat on a lump of concrete in front of a dockyard

I work for probably the best brewer in the world so I have been a few times.

    Tips:

Taxi from the airport into town is pretty cheap, I think it was about 30-40 Euros. If you are going budget there is a rail system right outside the airport that will take you into town.

If you want to see the mermaid take a trip on one of the canal boats. The mermaid is a fair treck out of town and there isn't a great deal to do when you get there. So the boat is perfect to just get a photo and see differents part of the city.

There is a bar (sorry this is a bit hazy) where they serve Elephant beer out of an Elephants trunk. It's hard to find and is tiny, so good luck. Make your way to the main shopping street in the old town, from Tivoli go straight to the square and it's in front of you. With the main shopping street in front of you turn left and go up one block. The bar is down there on your right hand side.

There are loads of street bars in the old town, you can't go wrong with most of these.

Go to Rosie's bar. There is an open air night club upstairs - this is a bit wierd.

Most of the city is pretty safe, there is only one area I would avoid and that's behind the train station, load of sex shops and shady people.

Keep an eye out for bikes when you cross the road, they are all over the place.

Definitely take the train from the airport imho

It's a lot cheaper, even for two, than a taxi, and the train station is IN the airport - literally no walking.

    As for things to do:

Recommend open top bus - will be running I think, and can be used to see the mermaid and the Carlsberg museum (recommended).

Tivoli Gardens are very central, if you like that sort of thing, and you can spend hours walking down one of the longest shopping streets in the world from the bottom end of the main square.

Found it a bit pricey for a proper "night out" night out, but the bars between the station and the main square are good, busy, and not too exorbitantly priced (English, Scottish & Irish themed pubs, most of them).

Obvious that you CAN go for a proper night out, as the main square was full of revellers until 4 or 5 am when we went (we could see them from the hotel window).

As per original post why not take the train to Malmo - it's cheap, and takes about 30 mins from Copenhagen Central.
