Even if you are not a fan of the oval ball (I am btw!). The story behind this is event is worth knowing if you are not aware of it.

This should have happened years ago.

Tbh I only recognised the name Clive Sullivan .As a player. ( Billy Boston I knew the name but couldn't remember why) And looked him up. His nephew is the Footballer Nathan Blake. Other members of the family played rugby at a high level as well.

About a month ago I watched a really interesting documentary on his uncle by Nathan on IPlayer. It’s still available and I highly recommend even if not a hardcore league fan. Especially if you work near Clive Sullivan Way like me and wondered what it was all about!

    I'll try check it out.
Like others mate I took a small interest in the 60's the Eddie Waring phenomenon.
But Started taking an interest in Fev. When my Bro moved over there late 70s. and He and his kids/Grandkids over the yrs became avid fans/season ticket holders. I go to the occasional game. Probably 2/3 times a season. Can't do with union btw. Boring and Legalised violence :)
