No complaints with the sending offs

just the fact that every time a wendie went down it was a free kick. Every time bfc player went down it was play on.

topped off with the pen decision. I walked out after mellis sending off. Glad I didn't see the winner

i'm not convinced about the pen. thought it would have been soft. mellis' reaction for not getting it, cost us dearly.

Not blaming the ref but he didn't help. Wednesday did what they wanted and got away with it. Obviously he did give us something but very little.

Very frustrating watching, but you wouldn't know. Probably trolling the forum all afternoon

That lovely person Marriner couldn't wait to send Mellis off.

Didn't think theirs was a sending off.

Guess it's just karma for that soft 'un we got on Tuesday nite.

Definitely. Was never a penalty. Even if he was brushed slightly it wasn't enough to send him over and I don't buy into that 'entitled to go down' bolox. Mellis' lack of composure immediately afterwards was pathetic. You could see as soon as he chased the lost ball that he was going to go flying in. In slow motion it didn't look as bad as you thought, but nevertheless, as soon as he did it you knew he was off and would have been disappointed not to see a red card had it been an opposition player. A few players shown real lack of discipline and poor decision making when it mattered, whereas Frimpong...oh, where to start. If you've ever seen an early red card coming it was today. I would hope that the captain and manager at least tried to calm him down in between the bookings, but if they did it fell on deaf ears. If they didn't then maybe they have something to learn too, because the red card was very easy to predict.

We sound like Wednesday fans on here these days. Not a match goes by without moans about the ref. End of the day we needed a good four points this week and only got one.

Carlton Palmer was adamant that i was a stone waller, as he put it.

I have not seen it so I cant say, but he was so biased towards Weds, that if he thought it was I assumed Mellis had been snapped in two !!:)

Thats because the standard of refereeing is getting worse by the day

The ref today was abysmal and in all honesty should be facing immediate suspension from refereeing pending a retraining course and examination to determine his ability to referee a football game

I'm obviously in the minority here but I think we've had a lot worse. I think we're pinning a bad performance on the ref as the reason we've come away with an undeserved shagging yet again but the reason we lost is because of the stupidity of our players not the referee. Yes, we didn't get much joy out of the 50-50s but I think he got pretty much all the major decisions right. All the reds were warranted and none of the penalty shouts were penalties in my opinion.

If Carlton Palmer on Radio Deedah says it was a pen that's good enough for me! He'll probably get the sack mind!

I thought he had all three red cards spot on. I wasn't there so can't comment on things the FSL didn't show.

Re: watched on a stream actually

Thing I can't stand about these refs is the amount of holding and pulling that players get away with, every time the ball was put into proschwitz he's getting his arms pulled back and he's being impeded from holding up the ball correctly, why is this never a foul on our players? It's a clear foul, I remember a certain Andy gray used to get that treatment all the time and quite often he was the one supposedly fouling...

These refs miss such obvious incidents and then give fouls for such silly little things and people wonder why refs are accused of being bias or not capable of doing their job.
