    but happy.

Today raised £430 for charity after I ran a marathon down in Oxfordshire (my second attempt at the distance) and clocked 3hrs and 3 minutes. Much much quicker than expected and not bad for an oldie!

Could do with a new pair of legs though.

Ha, ha. Until today it hadn't crossed my mind. I wanted to beat 3 hours 15 minutes, because I am 47 years old and this would mean (I think) I can qualify automatically for the London marathon under their 'good for age' scheme.

Then I found myself in a group of young sub 3-hour upstarts and I thought to myself, I'll give it a go. Stayed with them until mile 19 until the old wall arrived then I slowed down to finish at 3.03. I was dead on my feet basically. So hopefully I can do the London Marathon 2018 with that time now.
