well done Fulham... thankyou for making my day... shame you did not win, but this will do.

Couldn't give a toss, they're ****. No longer expect them to win most matches.

    Barnsley for me.

What ever results occur to teams in other divisions means nothing to me.

I'm sure you get the same thrill from Man United losing as you do from Barnsley losing

Must be exhausting having all that negative energy

sorry Fi you are wrong here

the reason I hate and always will hate Man Utd is because they are the team that first created PLASTIC fans ... we might have a few hundred more in the seats at Oakwell if it were not for those Bastads... and now thanks to them its taken a quantum leap forwards... With Chelski... Man CITEH... we go down a few and lets look at WHAT.FOR..D.. Swindle Town... need I go on. Sorry luvvy but MAN (cheque book buy a title) UTD were the very first ones to pollute honest football.

Could you have one thread that you post in after every match? I don't begrudge you commenting on it, as it clealy interests you. The problem is, it doesn't interest anyone else, so you could have a nice little chat to yourself/rant/cheer etc. all in one place rather than a thread that no-one replies in (except to say they don't care) each match.

Re: sorry Fi you are wrong here

I think you're wrong. I think Man utd were just famous. They had fans because they we famous... Way back.
Leeds utd were famous. They just weren't good at it. They and Man Utd went in different directions.
Man Utd didn't buy the league they did it with kids they'd nurtured... Some of them local kids.

Chelsea, Man City, even Blackburn were the teams who took it to the next level. They we the ones starting and stretching the daft spending.
I think your beef is with the wrong people.
I hate modern premiership football..... But if I was to pick a team to hate on grounds of plasticness / trying to buy success, Man U would be way behind Man City, Chelsea, Leicester, Cardiff, to name but a few.

I'm not keen on Man u fans after the way they behaved at Oakwell, but I'd take their club, ahead of City any day of the week.

    I'm enjoying their current struggles.

People talk about City & Chelsea ruining football but what I consider to be ruining football is clubs all round the country struggling for support whilst half the town are plastic Man Utd fans.

There's more United fans on my Facebook than Barnsley!

Chelsea & City might be spending fortunes but I barely see any of their shirts in Barnsley or when I play 5 a side, I see loads of United ones.

Hopefully they'll keep struggling & we'll get some extra fans at Oakwell who decide to sack them off

Interestingly, none of the kids in my class like Man U (the same is true over the last 3 years), so I think it's changing. Lots of them support Bradford (that's where I work), a couple support Leeds, a few Chelsea, one Newcastle, a few Man City and one supports a League 1 club (can't remember which one, but he said his dad is from there). They all also take a keen interest in Barnsley now ;) Unfortunately, that often means that I have to hear the score again first thing Monday morning, often when I am trying to forget it.

    Lol, naive.

Still, even it were true, it would be better than holding an irrational, obsessional hatred against something, when there are far more important things in life.

Re: sorry Fi you are wrong here

Maybe Tommy Taylor going to Man Utd at the time he did and his demise is why a lot of families in this region tend to have a liking for em, then like father like son through the generations Dragon. In days gone by Reds fans would go and watch other Yorkshire sides if Reds hadn`t got a game and they would want em to win anall.

Yes there are Man Utd glory hunters as there were Liverpool as well but now like you say Man City and Chelsea come into the equation what with wall to wall live footie on 7 days a week.

Plastic fans were around long before Man Utd stared collecting fans from all over the world; Liverpool were doing it in the 70's so change the record ffs.
