Is it accessible at all times or is there a gate that shuts or anything near the East Stand?

Always okay to walk up to Oakwell that way. No access for away fans to North Stand from that corner either

There are anti motorbike bars (or whatever you call them) on the way into the park, if your walking they are easy to pass through, a bit of a pain if your on a bicycle though

I know there's access at all times to the stadium from the canal but am I right in thinking that there isn't always access to Oakwell from the roads?

So you could go from monk bretton to make
Well through the woods and fields but you can't go from grove Street or Pontefract road to monk bretton because the gates are locked?

The bottom pedestrian gate on Ponty Road has always been open when I've had a circular walk past Oakwell outside the football season.
May be a public right of way.

Good point, I've just checked and it isn't but the top gate of the carpark on grove Street is and it leads to the paths described.

Thanks guys, enjoyed a nice walk through there this evening and enjoyed the geese and the old blokes fishing. Not a bad little spot to have on your doorstep really
