**** off. They have no players who we would want. Brian Howard is worth their whole bloody team. Didn't rate them last season and wondered how they got to the Premier, I rate them even less this season.
If It's True......... it would be a bad deal. We don't need more players and especially not fringe players at another club.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! He's an INSPIRATIONAL player. They are rare.
2.5 and Nyatanga........... We'd have to accept that would'nt we? if a club comes in with 3 million for Howard you are crazy if you think we could reject that, we are club that struggles with attendences, 3 million is a hell of a lot of money for us, plus if a premeirship side comes in for him with a offer like that there is no way we could stand in super bri's way of playing in the worlds top league. Trust me there is no way i want to lose him.
finances are on an even keel Although the money would be useful it would not be as useful as Brian Howard.
reality time, if a bid of the size suggested below or more comes in, say bye bye Brian Howard no one wants to see him go, but the board see one thing and one thing only ££££££££££££££'s
RE: finances are on an even keel They offer him 15K a week and a 3-year contract.
There is nothing the club can do.

there is something they can do its called CASH IN, remember the Sol Campbell affair £7 mil lost by the Yids, we cannot have that
Aye but assuming there is interest in him why did they not sign him close season? why did he sign a new 2 year deal?? Every player has his price and should we recieve an approach then since he's under contract I would expect we would tout him around to the highest bidder. Its also worth considering if BH would rather be a hero at Oakwell or a.n.other at a bigger club.
oh totally agree with you there tina, i would feel like i did when we lost Ward and higgy, but away from the financial side of it after the sterling service Howard has given us we just could not stand in his way of bettering himself, as too many championship clubs do.
If we want to do a Reading, a Wigan, a Charlton etc and make the Premier. ..we have to hold on to our best players. If the clubs I've mentioned had sold out in the Championship, they'd not have made it to The Premier. You have to take a stand somewhere if you really do aim high. Otherwise you're condemned to never reaching the top league. Having said that, it's time that more people got down to Oakwell. Charlton yesterday 21,000, our average is around 10,000. We need more on the gate to give us a sounder financial footing so we can ignore approaches for our best.
Best Chance We Have........ of the board turning down cash for him, is for stay away fans to come back. More fans watching will mean more money coming in and then the board won't feel as much that they have to sell him. The home crowds have been shameful this season.
He'd be stupid to go to Derby They are heading straight back down and although he shone in a stuggling side last season he looks much better with better players around. He'd be much better off waiting to see if a proper prem side like Everton come in. He stands more chance of playing in the Prem next season with us than he would with Derby. In any case he isnt going anywhere till January at the earliest and I wont be too surprised if he is still playing for us next season. We dont need to sell but obviously if a prem side offers silly money we have to be realistic but guide price Brunt = £3Million! Howie is a much better player - we should be asking £5 million on that basis ( mind you I think Brunt was overpriced
5 million! come on mate get a grip, a personally think brunt and super bri are of more or less are of equal standard, this is exactly why too many foriegners come to the prem because they can get international players for that!
I wasnt really serious But I just cant really believe £3 million for Brunt I think Howie is a better player. (so is Da Silva but he isnt ours to sell )
