Someone at the club thought the two tickets per voucher would work and that he didnt expect such a demand for tickets.
RE: Hmmm, naive is the word that springs to mind nt Are these really football people or are they "just doing a job"? You have to wonder Cazi, dont you?
How is it greedy? The club have not made any more money from selling 3000 x 2 tickets than what they would had they sold 6000 x 1 tickets.
RE: He Said Don Rowing Said It Apparently He's obviously not been educated at the University of the BBS.
Maybe The club believed that 2 tickets per voucher would pretty much guarantee selling all the tickets (even though many fans might be disappointed if they miscalculated demand). Needless to say, they miscalulated... We now know that they thought 1 ticket per voucher would not result in a sell out. It's greed because their decision making process was purely an economic one...
How could ANYONE with an ounce of knowledge of BFC not know that we would sell out??! Just beggars belief. Of course we would sell out - we would have if there'd been 10k tickets. Yes our crowds have gone down but we've always got folks crawling out of the woodwork for a big game - especially a day out.
RE: Maybe Im just sick of the moaning. Im not going, nor was I going to. I can understand the frustrations - but come on - how many people or arguing the same point - and I'd like to bet that some of the moaners on here didnt even try to get a ticket - let alone get in the queue. Barnsley FC will never be able to do anything right for doing wrong in a lot of people's eyes on here. Had we not sold the whole allocation we'd have been down the path of poor support. Cant support a championship club on these crowds....... .
Same thing was reported on Dearne FM This afternoon - Don Rowing said they'd misjudged demand, and would review policy as a result.
