we have had 17 managers before Simon Davey in my football watching lifetime, not including Alan Clarke for the second time. Only Jim Iley, Alan Clarke (the first time), Viv Anderson and Danny Wilson left of their own accord and Jim Iley and Viv Anderson only made it out of the door shortly before receiving their P45s. This means that based on past experience, we have only a 1 in 9 chance of improving our manager should we sack Simon Davey. Furthermore, after they left Barnsley to move on to better jobs, Alan Clarke was sacked 3 times (Leeds United, Scnuthorpe and Barnsley) and Danny Wilson has been sacked 4 times (Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol City, MK Dons and Hartlepools) so it seems that even though they were successful at Barnsley, ultimately they may not have been very good after all. Is it a case of hope over experience when we change managers and wouldn't we all be better swallowing our frustrations and carrying on supporting.
Nope, same **** every week. New manager new hope, chance of playing attacking football and a manger who can actually change a game once its kicked off.
